Bronze Age Material

The Bronze Age material at the acropolis represents a much longer chronological range than expected from earlier investigations. Early phases of the Late Helladic period are represented by pottery of the mainland polychrome style and Gray Minyan. Later Mycenaean periods are characterized by developed types such as handles with swaths of paint at their bases, kylix stems, and rims with bands of red paint. Several finely decorated pieces with standardized motifs indicate that settlement must have been active into the latest LH IIIB and early IIIC periods.
