The post-classical tower preserved at the west end of the acropolis is one of numerous Medieval constructions across Boeotia, often associated with the period of Frankish rule centered at Thebes.

Other architectural remains are not well preserved in the areas excavated elsewhere on the acropolis, but significant material from the Late Byzantine and Early Ottoman periods has been preserved in refuse pits and other deposits associated with a settlement of these eras.
